Atlanta Tip Off Club was a Big Success

January 14, 2003

Harry Douglas III

Guest speaker Atlanta Hawks general manager Pete Babcock sends a powerful message.  Mr. Babcock spoke about living your dreams, believing in yourself, having great work ethics being the best you can be and not counting yourself out.  Mr. Babcock informed the players to discover their passion and pursue it.

Our staff was very impressed with  6'3" Tim Morris of Whitfield Academy.  He is a well spoken young man who has great respect for authority. Tim is headed to Stanford next fall.   6'3" Louis Williams was also impressive along with 6'2" Toney Douglas, 6'3" Channing Toney, 6'11" Dwight Howard,  and 6'10" Randolph Morris.  These players display character and respect which will take them to another level.

January's meeting was organized and had the most talented players of any Atlanta Tipoff Club ceremony I have ever attended.  There were at least 12 future NBA players such as 6'10"" Major Wingate, 6'11" Dwight Howard, 6'8" Josh Smith, 6'2" Toney Douglas, 6'3" Louis Williams, 6'10" Randolph Morris, 6'3" Vincent Banks, 6'8" Brent Petaway, 6'6" Corey Gibbs 6'3" Tim Morris and 6'9" Jermareo Davidson.

All these players have NBA potential and some of the best were not selected.
