Florida Basketball Ranking- Fall 2003-04
By Tommy Lampley
The King of high school, college and professional football is the State of Florida. Undisputed Champions! But the wealth of talent of high school basketball players in this State has the attention of the entire basketball world. Especially, when you remember the last NBA Rookie of the Year was from a Florida High school program, Amare Stoudamire. This year there is no comparable big man, but 2004 is loaded with guards and small forwards!
This year you can look for and expect 5 players to battle for Mr. Basketball in the State of Florida. Darius Washington- Orlando Edgewater, Cornelius Ingram- Hawthorne High, and Jason Rich-Dr. Phillips High. Tauren Green-Pendleton will also garner strong consideration. Alexander Kahn- Florida Air Academy rounds out the best group in the State. BUT, the class of 2004 is full of players, and lots of talented guards and small forwards.
